Black Lives Matter Statement and Call to Action

Updated: Jan 27, 2021

Systemic racism, racial injustice, police brutality, as well as other forms of discrimination and violence against Black people must end. The horrific murder of Black men and women in this country, like George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and so many others, must stop now. Long-term, historical intergenerational trauma must no longer be tolerated.

At AMC Source, we are holding ourselves accountable. While our work is grounded in the belief that associations exist to advance and transform society, this is not enough. While diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to the work that we do, there is more to be done. We can and will do better.

We are reexamining what we do and how we do it. This includes:

- Educating our team by providing resources, engaging in conversation, and through professional development offerings

- Expanding efforts to cast the net even more broadly to diversify ourselves and our client base

- Active listening, especially to those whose voices have been silenced and must be heard

- Donating funds to organizations that advance the mission of uprooting anti-blackness

Following are resources for learning, donating, and taking action. We will continue to build upon these.
